FAQs

It’s my first class at Lync Cycling. What do I need to know?

YAY! We can’t wait to see you. You will need to wear exercise clothes that will be comfortable to ride in and sweat in. Form-fitting shorts or pants are best so that nothing gets caught in the bike. Please arrive 15 minutes early for class so that our staff can get you properly set up on the bike before the instructor gets started. When you do arrive, check in at the front desk and make sure to sign in so that we know you’ve arrived! We have lockers with coded keypads so your stuff will stay safe while you are in class. Lastly, be sure to bring water with you to class. We also have water available to purchase at the studio.

Do I need to have cycling shoes?

Yes, you will need to wear cycling shoes and clip in to the bike. Clipping in makes the ride more stable, helps you target the correct muscles, and prevents injury. We have rental shoes that are available for $3 if you do not have a pair of your own. All of our bikes accommodate SPD compatible clips and LOOK Delta clips. LOOK KEO will not fit. You can also purchase SPD compatible cycling shoes at the studio for $125.

How do I sign up for class?

First, you will need to create an account. Click on LOGIN/SIGNUP and enter your information. Then check out the instructor page and find a class on the schedule that works for you. Next you will pick which bike you want for class. Click on the bike number to reserve. If you do not have any series or classes on your account, you will be prompted to purchase a class in order to reserve your bike. Once your bike has been reserved, you will receive an email confirmation of your reservation.

What’s the cancellation policy

It is your responsibility to cancel your reservation if you cannot attend class. To have your series returned to your account, you must cancel 12 hours before the scheduled class time. If you do not cancel your reservation at least 12 hours before the scheduled class time or do not show up, your series will not be returned to your account. If you are on an unlimited series, there will be a cancellation fee of $20 assessed.

The class is full. Can I be added to the waitlist?

Absolutely. If the class is full, add your name to the waitlist. If you are placed on the waitlist, you can be added to class up until 3 hours before class. Be sure that if you become unavailable to take class that you remove yourself from the waitlist. If you are added to class, you will be subject to the BEYOND Pedaling cancellation policy. If someone cancels, you will be automatically added to the class in their place and will receive an email confirmation.

I didn’t make it off the waitlist before class or didn’t sign up in time. Can I ride as a standby?

Yes. If you are not registered for class you can still ride as a standby. Just arrive early for class and add your name to the standby list. At the start of class, the open bikes in class will be released and standby students will be allowed into class in the order they arrived.
